Our Story
Clean marine supplements built on purity, evidence and radical transparency.
AGNÓDOS was created with a simple belief: people deserve to know exactly what is in their supplements, where it comes from and why it is there.
In a category often driven by marketing claims and complex ingredient lists, we chose a different path, one based on traceable sourcing, clinically meaningful formulations and complete transparency.
AGNÓDOS comes from two Greek words (agnó - “pure”, odós -“path”) and means The Pure Path.
Purity is not a marketing slogan. It is a standard applied to every decision, from ingredient selection and dosing to testing, packaging and communication.
Why I started AGNÓDOS
My name is Lena Vasileiadou. I am a Greek mother of two, living in London with my Danish husband.
As the founder, my search for cleaner, more trustworthy supplements became personal during pregnancy. I wanted products that were simple, well-sourced and backed by evidence, products I could confidently take myself and recommend to my family.
That experience became the foundation of AGNÓDOS.
Every product is designed with the same question in mind: Would I trust this enough to take it every day? If the answer is not an unequivocal yes, it does not become part of the brand.
The backstory
Like many women who prioritized their education and career before family planning, I faced difficulties conceiving my first child. That experience fundamentally shifted my perspective on health. Instead of searching for quick fixes, I began asking a foundational question: What does my body actually need to function well, conceive and sustain a healthy pregnancy?
That search led me to marine supplements, particularly Omega-3. The research clearly pointed to its importance for fertility, pregnancy, cognitive development and long-term health. But knowing Omega-3 is derived from fish oil raised an immediate red flag regarding purity. Finding a supplement that was truly potent, clean and free from contaminants proved far harder than I expected. I later realized that the murky standards plaguing fish oils also dominated the collagen market: farmed fish, unknown sourcing, fillers and synthetic sweeteners.
After two decades in marketing, I had seen how easily brands could build compelling stories around ingredients that were present in quantities too small to make a meaningful difference.
Through my own journey, from conception and pregnancy to now navigating perimenopause in my mid-40s, I found that the products I trusted most were not the loudest mass-market brands. They were small, independent manufacturers built on scientific restraint and radical transparency.
When spending extended time back home in Greece, I searched for marine supplements that reflected these values. I couldn't find them. The more I researched, the more I realised:
The problem was not a lack of supplements. It was a lack of transparency.
So I decided to build the brand in Greece I wished already existed.
Transparency as an operating principle
I believe consumers should be able to understand where every ingredient comes from, why it was included and how it has been verified.
That is why AGNÓDOS is built around traceable sourcing, independent 3rd party testing, supplier documentation and open communication about both the strengths and the limitations of the available science.
Trust should be built through evidence, verification and honesty.
The vision
I am building AGNÓDOS to become one of the most trusted marine wellness brands, a company known not for the number of products it launches but for the integrity behind every formulation.
Because in the end, trust is not claimed.
It is earned.
From my family to yours, welcome to The Pure Path.
